I'm sharing some of my favorite metal-tones from the POD X3. Recorded with the POD directly into Cubase, I used nothing else (no plugs, outboards, EQ etc) So if you wanna hear how the X3 really sounds like, watch this video! Tone 1 (Death Metal-Tone): Based on a Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifier! Tone 2 (Shred Metal-Tone) Tone 3 (Modern Metal-Tone) Tone 4 (Classic Metal/hardrock-Tone) Tone 5 (Smooth Clean) Tone 6 (Preset called Metropolis)
A demo if my Atomic Reactor 1x12 50watt tube combo with my Line6 POD X3 Live. I'm using my Ibanez RG370DX BLH with a Dimarzio Breed bridge pickup. The microphone is a T.bone MB-85Beta going into a Line6 Toneport UX2 then recorded with Sonoma Riffworks (WWhich also provides the drums). The first riff I played was from Therapy?'s Screamager (from their Troublegum album). The clean riff was just improvised.Note: the lead to the clean part didn't sound right, but I only noticed after packing up my camera, so I re-recorded that part using the same rig, but as you may notice, for that section, my fingers do not move with the music! Sorry for being lazy :-)
In this episode of Line 6 Tips & Tricks, superstar session guitarist Kevin Dukes (Don Henley, Jackson Browne, Billy Joel) shows us how easy it is to coax a uniquely colorful crunch from POD X3 Live. Press a few buttons, turn a few knobs, and the magic of dual tone will send your music into high gear.
This part of the video covers the Looper section only.
This video shows a DL4 modification that allows...

playing "Silver fang(Nagareboshi Gin) theme" with guitar
Just me demoing the loop sampler function on the Line6 DL-4 Delay Moduler. I'm using a mix of modulated reverb, chorus, tremolo, phaser, dotted 8th delay, and some overdrive to produce the sounds.

* Watch in high quality by clicking the link below! www.youtube.com * If you like this song, please consider supporting me by purchasing it from itunes ( tinyurl.com ) or another online music store (Amazon, Napster, emusic, Rhapsody, etc.)! I think you’ll be very happy with the full-quality mp3—much of the quality is lost when youtube compresses the video file. * Tabs for "The Rising" are available on my website (see link below). Make sure to read the information about tuxguitar if you don't have Guitar Pro! The tuning is drop C. * Please visit my website for information about my gear, playing history, cover video recording method, tabs, frequently asked questions, and more! www.killrbuckeye.com * This work is copyright protected www.myfreecopyright.com Please contact me for permission to use this song. This is my second metal composition for youtube! All of these riffs were written during the past 3 months, and I spent quite a bit of time coming up with an arrangement that worked. It was more challenging than "Arrival", because there are 4 tempo and time signature changes in the song! I had to experiment a bit to make the transitions between these sections smooth, but I'm pretty happy with the finished product. I think it's quite different from my first song ("Arrival"), but hopefully you will like it! As usual, I recorded all guitar and bass (pitch-shifted guitar) tracks direct using my Line 6 POD X3. Drum tracks were created using Toontrack ezdrummer with the Drumkit ...
Another looping tune done with Line 6 POD X3 Live and the Boss RC-50 looper.
I thought it fitting that I play my 335 on this since Larry Carlton was the reason I bought this 335 26 years ago.

Watch part 1 first. The DL4 for the money is probably the best delay pedal on the market today. Whoo Isaac
A modded Blackheart BH5H and BH112 demo. checkout http://blackheart.rowbinet.co.uk for a schematic of my permanent PA mod. As well as theat mod, I've replaced the stock tubes with a JJ/Tesla EL84 and ECC83S. Lastly I've replaced the stock speaker with a Celestion Seventy 80 which is more neutral, as I use speaker simulations from my POD X3L.Other gear used was an Epiphone Les Paul Custom Black Beauty, with no mods, going into a Line 6 POD X3 Live, then to the blackheart, then miced with a Thomann T.Bone MB-85 Beta (a copy of a Shure SM58 and SM57 all in one) going into a LIne 6 Toneport UX2, and finially to Sonoma Riffworks Standard for the recording and the drums. I used no post processing, and I'm new to mic'ing amps, so the sound could be improved on a little, but as it is, the video is about 95% of the way to sounding like it does in real life... so I'm happy. If you want the POD X3 tone I used, please visit http://tones.rowbinet.co.ukFor all other Blackheart info, visit http://www.blackhearteng.com
This is me playing You're Gonna Go Far, Kid by The Offspring. It's off of their latest album, and it's one helluva fun song to play! Not hard at all, generic chord progression, but that doesn't matter as long as it's fun. :P No tabs available from me. Go to www.ultimate-guitar.com and they probably have tabs for this song. Please rate, comment, and enjoy!
Whats up? I had a few requests to do this song so I went on and did it. Tuning is drop c and most of it is downpicked. The tab for this song is now on my website, it has other tabs, stuff about how long I've been playing for, my gear and stuff like that. http://www.freewebs.com/musicman1066
